Yes let’s breakdown that what is mean by word syntax and how it is used to.
A Syntax mean making of sentences or to make sentence, A sentence is consists of two parts, one is the Subject and second is Predicate.
When we keep one or more words together in organized way the sentence have been made.
Let’s breakdown the simple example to better understanding.
Example:

Look at this table and try to understand this example this is so simple and easy to understand.
Subject
Now it is time to define Subject.
Definition: A person or thing being discussed, described, represented or studied is called a subject.
Example: I wear the clothes. The chair is broken. He drives a car. She is come late.
Predicate
Let’s explain and define the predicate.
Definition: Word Predicate means to tell something, to show, to explain. In the sentence all words are called predicate except subject.
The part of a sentence that says something about the subject is called predicate.
Example: I eat a mango. The chair is broken.
In the above sentence “I” is the subject and “eat a mango” is predicate.
Verb
We have discussed about verb in the previous tutorial so if you are new don’t know about verb then visit verb tutorial.
Object
Definition: A person or thing which an action or feeling is directed is called an object.
A noun or its equivalent governed by an active transitive verb or preposition.
Example: I eat an apple. She goes to school.
Note: You should remember that in english the object is used in the last of the sentence.

Formation
In english language sentence first we write subject then verb and in the last we write object.

The Phrase and the Clause
Phrase
Phrase is taken from latin language word called “Phrosis”.
Definition: A group of words without a verb that make sense, but not complete senseis called a phrase. It forms part of a sentence.
Example: Under the tree. Into the pocket. over the wall.
Clause
Clause is taken form latin language word called “Clausla”.
Definition: Clause is a distinct part of a sentence, containing subject and predicate.
Example: I saw a man who was dancing on the road. I lost the book which you had gifted me last year.
Kinds Of Sentences
There are four (4) main types of sentences.
- Assertive – (a) Affirmative (b) Negative
- Interrogative
- Imperative
- Exclamatory
Assertive Sentence
Definition: This sentence shows to explain, define something or proove and discard anything is called an assertive sentence.
Example: This is a pen and it is used to write something on the paper.
Affirmative Sentence
Definition: A sentence which affirms and confirms and answer that a thing is so, is called the affirmative sentence.
Example: Aslam is a naughty boy. I offers the prayers.
Negative Sentence
Definition: A sentence which expresses or implies denial, prohibition, or refusal is called the negative sentence.
Example: He will never come back. You are not a clever boy. There is no one in the world to challenge me.
Note: To make a sentence negative we use no, not, never, and unless.
Interrogative Sentence
Definition: A sentence which asks a question, is called an interrogative sentence.
Example: What is your name? Are you a student? Where were you yesterday?
Imperative Sentence
Definition: A sentence which expresses a command, a request or an entreaty, is called an imperative sentence.
Example: Get Lost. Do me a favour please. For God sake, leave me alone.
Exclamatory Sentence
Definition: A sentence which shows sudden feelings like sadness, happiness is called an exclamatory sentence.
Example: What an artistic work it is! Hurrah! I have won the prize.
